+JMJ+ Welcome to part 49 of our weekly series on the soul. Just one more to go after this one and the series will be at an end, for now. Tonight I’ve been reading a homily by St. Augustine of Hippo: On the Nativity. St. Augustine always gets to me. I wish I could have heard him preach. Reading this homily I can almost hear him. I wonder if anyone with a great and dramatic speaking voice has recorded anything of his. That would be a wonderful project for someone somewhere.
And there’s a show that I’ve heard really good things about but have not yet watched. Well, I watched the first couple of minutes of the Christmas special just now, and that’s why I decided to share it with you. (See video below.) I hope you’ll enjoy it. I’m going to get some egg nog and settle down with Miss Lucy Dawg and watch it, too. And read some more St. Augustine. I do love that good and holy bishop.
Video, The Chosen, Special Christmas Episode.
Thank you for visiting and reading. Until next time, whoever and wherever you are, please stay safe and well, virtuous and holy. May the Lord bless and keep you, and may His peace be always with you. +JMJ+
