About the Rosary Project

The #RosaryProject currently consists of:

  • a Rosary thread that I post live weekly on Twitter. Meet up on my profile page at 7pm CDT, 8pm EDT, for the Rosary, and 15 minutes early for a little optional preparation thread, pinned separately until the Rosary begins. We pray together as I post. Links to past Rosary threads.
  • the Rosary posted here on the blog for your use anytime (includes galleries of images for all of the Mysteries),
  • a series of posts (occasional and ongoing) exploring the artwork used in the project,
  • a series of posts about learning to pray the Rosary in a low-stress way, and
  • a set of books in the works, release date TBA. Stay tuned.

2018: I began scouring the web for images for the Mysteries of the Rosary and the prayers that go with them. I look for a certain type of image, a certain quality, a certain style. I want art from various periods of Christian history, something to show the rich patrimony that we have, and that far too many do not know about or would have no way of seeing other than making their own search, and that takes time that not everybody has.

I’m home most of the time (lung problems, back problems, oy!) so I have plenty of time on my hands to search the web, and a fanatical devotion to exploring and sharing what I’ve found with others. Most of the exploring takes the form of surfing the web these days, and most of the sharing takes the form of tweeting and blogging (until recently, tweeting almost exclusively).

2019: I posted a live Rosary thread on Twitter nightly for several months. That ended on Holy Saturday, April 20, 2019. It was a joyful and glorious ride, and I will always be thankful for those who took that ride along with me. So many people shared their stories and gave me much encouragement. You know who you are. I treasure your friendships, all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Y’all added more to the joy of the daily preparation and the nightly threads than I ever expected. And those of you who prayed along silently, you were prayed for, too. The threads were for ALL. God bless you.

2020: Now we’ve begun a new phase of the project and it has a permanent home here on the blog where it won’t constantly scroll away (and I can edit the inevitable myriad mistakes I make, oy!). I don’t post it nightly anymore but it is available here anytime anyone wants to use it. I’m already making notes on additions to this section, so stay tuned for that. (Note: On March 24, 2020, I began posting the Live Rosary Threads on Twitter, but only on Tuesdays and Fridays.)

You are invited: Come join us to pray the Rosary!

2024: I’m posting the live Rosary threads on Fridays only, at 7pm CDT, 8pm EDT, with an optional preparation thread beginning 15 minutes earlier, 6:45pm CDT and 7:45pm EDT. All you have to do to join in is show up on my Twitter/X profile page and pray along.

Together we can pray for conversion of hearts, salvation of souls, and to end abortion and the culture of death that is spreading like cancer throughout the world. I’m glad you’re here and I hope you’ll drop by often. Together we can be united in prayer, and united to the Two Hearts forever.

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Savior, pray for us. Amen.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, we love you! Save souls!
