Advent Giveaway 2022 – Closed

+JMJ+ UPDATE: The Advent Giveaway 2022 is now closed. And the winner is (drumroll, please!): Gail Cohee! You’re it, you’re the one, the real deal, the Chosen, so come on down! ;) Now an announmcement will go go out in email to subscribers, and on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Email me anyway by reply, Gail, and let me know where to have your book shipped. Thank you to all who entered! +JMJ+

We gave away a copy of In Conversation with God, Vol. 1, Advent and Christmas (Amazon affiliate link, see Full Disclosure below)

+JMJ+ I’m giving away a copy of In Conversation with God, Volume One, Daily Meditations for Advent and Christmas, published by Scepter.

Author Francis Fernandez-Carvajal makes generous use of the writings of the great saints as he brings you focused and moving meditations on themes taken from the Mass readings for that day, the liturgical season, and more. This work is rich and extensive enough to serve as your spiritual reading for a lifetime, as it helps you relate the particulars of the message of Christ to the ordinary circumstances of your day. Each volume is small enough for you to carry it to Adoration or some other suitable place for meditation. The whole set comes with a handsome slipcase that prevents wear-and-tear on the individual volumes.

Giveaway Rules and How to Enter

Giveaway Rules

Due to international law governing such things, I’ll still be restricting the giveaway to the U.S. And I have to also keep it to the ages of 18 and older. So I’ll need your name and email address to contact you if you win, and your age to be sure you’re eligible to enter. (You can just tell me in the message that you’re over 18.) You can enter more than once per day, by the way. Edit to say: I will not sell your email or send you unsolicited emails. If you want to sign up for my posts in your email inbox, you can sign up using the form in the sidebar on every page, at the end of most posts (if I remember to put it on there), and on the subscribe page.

How to Enter

The giveaway runs until 11:59 pm CT on the night of Dec. 8, 2022. I’ll be selecting a winner (see below for details on how this is done) and announcing the winner here on the blog on this page, and in a separate blog post which will also go out in email to subscribers, with a link on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram (if it lets me in then, sometimes it won’t let me in) on Dec. 9, around 8 pm CT.

Please use the form below to enter. You don’t need to fill out the message block unless you want to. (Please ignore the big huge red “Go back” if one appears after you enter. One day I’ll figure out how to get rid of that.

(This giveaway is now closed and entry form removed. I’ll be nnouncing the winner Dec. 9 around 8pm CT.)

How I Select a Random Number

I assign a number to each entry in the order in which they are received (1, 2, 3…), then count how many entries I have, then go to a random number generator, tell it how many entries I have and it generates a random number from among the numbers I gave it. That’s how I’ve done it every time so far. :)

Thanks for visiting and reading and for entering the giveaway. May you stay healthy and holy and virtuous, and may you become the SAINT the Lord created you to be. May the Lord bless you and may His Peace be always with you. +JMJ+
