National Novel Writing Month began Sunday but I did not

National Novel Writing Month: 50,000 words in 30 days
National Novel Writing Month: 50,000 Words in 30 Days
National Novel Writing Month began on Nov 1…but I didn’t! So I’ve got some catching up to do today. I’ve got to write three day’s worth of novel and I’m still wondering what I’m going to write about. But that’s not really a problem, I’ve done this three other times now. Twice I finished the 50,000 words on or before the deadline, the last time too much happened in my life at that time and I dropped out. This time I’m gonna do it, so I’ve got to get to writing.

As soon as I catch up, I’ll put a word-count widget here on the blog somewhere, probably in the sidebar. 50,000 words in 30 days, no editing, no re-writing, no listening to one’s inner editor, just going for it and throwing caution to the wind, just write and don’t let anyone read it (a key way to keep the inner—and outer—editor quiet). Then save it as a text file and upload it to the Word Count thingy, it won’t be read or saved and your new word count will show on your Author Profile Page.

Now I’m going to write and get caught up. My word count widget should be up (and up-to-date) by tomorrow. Peace be with you. Now go write your novel! :)
