We are in a spiritual war

Update, October 31, 2020: I want to emphasize this important related post from the past. And if you do a search on the web, you’ll also find that there is a renewed effort to curse the President this Halloween, right before the election on November 3, 2020. Please pray. Pray like never before for each other, for our President and for our country. Amen!

+JMJ+ I’ve written about this before. We are in a war. We have been for thousands and thousands of years, but we are in a particularly intense war right now and it is primarily spiritual. So when people tell us that we should keep religion and spiritual things out of the public, political conversation, they either don’t know any better or they do know exactly what they’re doing: trying to keep us from doing the one thing necessary to win this war: identifying exactly who our enemy is and doing what we need to do to defeat him.

Divine Mercy and Rosary today beginning at 3pm CDT

+JMJ+ In lieu of a Father’s Day post I’m inviting any and all concerned Catholic Christians to join me in praying the Chaplet of the Divine Mercy, followed by the Rosary on Sunday, June 21, 2020, on Twitter, in reparation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus for all the offenses committed throughout the world today. There may be some witches, satanists, luciferians, and others gathering together today in various cities in an attempt to cast spells to accomplish their twisted agenda (marxist, globalist, sick). I’m not going to link to their pages but a search of the web or social media should turn up something.

Weekly Series on the Soul – Part 25 – Spiritual Enemies

+JMJ+ Welcome to part 25 of our weekly series on the soul. This week I’m not sharing a teaching on the soul, but I am sharing with you something I found that I think we need to be aware of. It’s about something that poses a danger to souls, so I’ll share it with you and I hope you’ll share it with others.

If you’ve been reading here at Catholic Heart and Mind for a while, then you know I used to be a New Ager. I’ve made no secret of it and some may think I talk and write about it too much. But I feel compelled to talk and write about it because I turned so many people onto it, and I spent so many years turning away from what the Lord was trying so hard to tell me, to show me, to do for me and with me. Plus I see so many people now who either are too much attached to the New Age or make the opposite mistake and give it too little thought and attention. Both sets of people fail to or refuse to see the danger of the New Age, its deception and seduction, and both of them endanger themselves and others by this failure or refusal.

Stand Up For Religious Freedom, Birmingham, Photos and Thoughts, Part 1

[Note: This page has several photos on it, so I’m not posting the whole thing on the front page of the blog. See the post page for all the photos. Thanks!] I’ve been sitting in a cafe downloading and editing photos from the Stand Up For Religious Freedom Rally in Birmingham, AL, that took place from noon until around 1 p.m. today.

Didn’t realize that today is Fr. Coyle’s birthday. Who’s Fr. Coyle? He was a Catholic priest at St. Paul’s in downtown Birmingham, back before St. Paul’s was made the cathedral. He worked very hard to bring people together, used to pray the Divine Office on the steps outside the St. Paul’s so he could be close to those passing by. He was threatened many times for the audacity of true hope, for taking Christ’s prayer that we all be one seriously and doing something about it.
