Religious leaders leading others, but not to religion

This is one of the most disgusting things I’ve read lately.

Scripture neither condemns nor prohibits abortion. It does, however, call us to act compassionately and justly when facing difficult moral decisions. Does your church or organization think abortion is morally justifiable?

A coalition of Baptist, Brethren, Lutheran, Methodist Churches have written a letter to our Congress “asking them to make certain the health care bills they are considering contain taxpayer funding for abortions [emphasis mine].” In the same letter they call abortion a “morally justifiable decision [emphasis mine]”, and if that isn’t enough, they want the House and Senate to oppose any amendments that would remove that funding by us, we the taxpayers.
