+JMJ+ Greetings, y’all! I have some things to share with you!
- First, something from the reading for today, the Third Monday in Advent, from In Conversation with God, Vol 1, by Fr. Francis Fernandez Carvajal. (The longer I use this series of reflections, the more I treasure it.)
- Second, a video about Advent.
- Third, a video about the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe since her feast day is today.
- Fourth, something about Our Lady of Guadalupe and the tilma.
Today’s reading in my favorite devotional series, In Conversation with God (not to be confused with Conversations with God, that’s new age stuff), is about purity of heart.
God shows himself only to the pure in heart.
In Conversation with God, Vol. 1, Third Week of Advent, Monday. Emphasis in the original.
Many people will see nothing out of the ordinary about Advent or Christmas because their “hearts are full of material things, or of filth and misery. Uncleanness of heart produces insensitivity to the things of God, and to much that is humanly good as well, including compassion for the unhappiness of other people.”
Our hearts must be kept clean because only the pure of heart will see God in this life or the next. “If we lack inner purity the clearest signals will mean nothing to us, and we shall interpret them all wrong.”
[B]lessed and happy are those who guard their hearts, and we have to work at this every day.

I also found something about Guadalupe and the Tilma. I’ve seen the information before but this is the first time I’ve seen it in this particular format.
Thanks for visiting the blog and reading. May we stay holy and virtuous during this Advent season, guarding our hearts, and, by His grace, become the saints the Lord intends us to be, so that we may be ready to meet Him when He returns and we meet Him face to Face. Have a blessed Advent. +JMJ+
