Note: There be a special announcement in this here post.
+JMJ+ My New Year’s resolution is to get it together. Physically and spiritually. I’ve had it with the way I am. I want to get some things done and I’m tired of messing around and getting nowhere. So for 2022 I’m going to learn to do this Catholic thing right and I’m inviting you to learn along with me.
Our first Catholic Book of the Month for the year 2022 will be Brant Pitre’s Introduction to the Spiritual Life: Walking the Path of Prayer with Jesus, and I think it will be an excellent guide to help us on our spiritual quest. That’s what this is, our spiritual quest. I hope you’ll join me.
Here be that there special announcement. To kick things off, I’m going to give away a brand new copy of Dr. Pitre’s book. The winner can decide on a hardcover or Kindle edition, whichever one. Go to the Giveaway New Year 2022 page to enter and read more about it.
Video, A Powerful Introduction to the Spiritual Life: Matthew Leonard interviewed Dr. Brant Pitre about his latest book, Introduction to the Spiritual Life.
Dr. Pitre is always a fun to listen to. I do like a speaker who can hold forth without notes, or, at least, not read from them anyway. He makes bad puns and awful jokes, always teaches me something I did not know, and I find him a joy to listen to. And watch, too. His enthusiasm is obvious and catching. (The only other word that came to mind was “infectious” so I guess that’s a sign of the times or that my vocabulary has shrunk, either one.)
Thanks for visiting the blog and reading. I pray that you and I will stay holy and virtuous, and help each other this Christmas season to become the SAINTS the Lord intended us to be. God bless you and may His Peace be always with you. +JMJ+
