I hope this marvelous feast day has been a time of solace, interior cleansing, and purification, and has helped you have hope in the strange times in which we find ourselves living. The novena ended yesterday but I posted another chaplet prayer thread today anyway. At the end of it I included the Litany to the Divine Mercy from St. Faustina’s Diary. I’m including it here, too. It’s an excellent prayer and one I should turn to more often.
The Litany to the Divine Mercy

R: Hence, we will praise The Divine Mercy forever and ever.
Let us pray:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, King of mercy, who with You and the Holy Spirit shows us mercy now and forever. Amen.
The novena has ended but I’m still posting the Live Twitter Rosary Threads* on Tuesdays and Fridays, 8pm EDT, 7pm CDT. Still focusing on the Coronavirus. In the threads the intentions are aimed at ending the culture of death and promoting a Culture of Life. I may add the new intentions to the Rosary posted here. I did base them on the ones Pope St. John Paul II gave us for the Divine Mercy devotion, after all. I used his intentions when I posted the Live Twitter Rosary Threads in their earlier run (summer of 2018 until the Easter Vigil 2019).
Thank you for reading and for praying the litany with me if you did. I hope you’ll join me on Twitter to pray for the sick and suffering, all of us who are affected by the virus, for those who are trying to deal with the situation in the medical and research fields, those in government, and the rest of us just trying to live our lives in a world that seems to have changed overnight and not in ways we expected or wanted. But whatever happens, I hope you and yours will stay safe and well, and that the Lord will bless you and keep you, and may His peace be always with you.
Jesus, King of Mercy, we trust in You!
Notes and Links
*Join me on Twitter for the Live Rosary Threads. Just go to my profile page a few minutes before starting time (8pm EDT, 7pm CDT). I usually post some preliminary stuff a few minutes early, then begin the Rosary on the hour. You can check out earlier threads for the Rosary and the Divine Mercy on the What’s New page.
Images: Two different Divine Mercy images in the post, one by Hyla and the other the Vilnius Divine Mercy image painted by Eugeniusz Kazimirowski. I added the text to the images. I stopped using another image (based on the Hyla image but I greatly prefer it to the Hyla one) that I was using on the blog when I realized it was under copyright to someone, and I can’t afford to pay for licensing right now. Maybe one day.
Read more about the different images and why there are so many different versions. Read about the Divine Mercy and abortion connection in the Diary. Pray the 3 O’Clock Prayer or the Chaplet or the Litany.
