Bishop Fulton J Sheen’s Communism and the Conscience of the West

[Edited, April 26: I used a mobile device to post the original of this post and didn’t realize that the images I sent up were HUGE. Sorry about that, all fixed now. *Sheepish grin*] Just received a new book in the mail. Well, a new old book. It’s Communism and the Conscience of the West by Archbishop Fulton J Sheen. It’s been out of print for I don’t know how long, but I got hold of a copy because the Boise Public Library discarded their copy which is evidently a first edition from 1948. Their bad judgment is my good fortune. And since I don’t believe in fortune but Providence instead, I’ll have to thank the Lord for this blessing. :)

    1. Thanks for reblogging that. I wish more people knew about the wonderful Bishop Sheen and also about his astute warnings about the dangers of communism. He was right on the money.

God bless you and peace be with you.
      Disciple :)

    Hey Disciple,

I see you are still at it and I have some catching up to do. I have a new blog address I have really had some sick family, really sick family members for the last two months. If you read my blog I am going through some of the worse times of my life. It has been so hard Disciple. I am asking all my dear blogging friends and family to please pray and pray and pray for us. Will come back and catch up with you. God Bless, SR

    1. I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been having such a rough time, SR! I have been keeping you in my prayers and your family too. Will check out your new blog. The last few weeks have been pretty full for me as well. I’m so far behind reading my favorite blogs, seems like I’ll never catch up! Talk to ya soon, SR. God bless you and peace be with you. :)

Thank you so much for prayers. It has been rough for sure, but you know us “Redneck Women.” “We stand bare footed in our own front yards with a baby on our hips:))” It is getting better but it is something I had to share for myself and for others who may be going through the same. Some good has to come from this.

I am trying to catch up also. I hope you do talk at me later, as you always make me chuckle and smile. Hope things slow down for you as well. Again thanks for prayers and God Bless, SR

    2. I’ll pray for you and for your family. I’m assuming you are a traditional catholic militnat (not sspx) just like myself. In these end times, I was warned some time ago that if I had the intention of warning, alerting and correcting other people regarding our times, then I would be rejected, mocked and even persecuted…even by some members of my own family. So that is exactly what has been happening to me since 2008, the year God fully woke me up for our faith and for the real signs of our times; Not only God taught me the catholic Magisterium in it’s glorious formation, but probably more important, I was gradually shown who our enemies really are, how they act, how they are called, what they think, what are their real goal, their methods and techniques and it’s history since the time of Adam and Eve…Due to all this knowledge, satan has been using other people, places and events to wage a violent aggressive spiritual battle against me; My wife left me in 2011, taking our two small children with her, which I haven’t seen ever since, my family (brothers and sisters) believe I’m nuts or on the otherhand, that I exaggerate things or I’m a fundamentalist, I lost my job with the local government as a resut of direct discrimination…and so here I am, in north wales Uk (colwyn bay), cpmpletely on my own for four years – even my local pariosheners, as modernists or cowards, do reject me and some even give me ‘the look’ due to my traditional stances and bold defence of the faith.
So yeah, I’ll pray for you as I will ask you to pray for vicky, my former athiest wife (my mistake – I didn’t know then we are not suppose to marry people of other faiths or none), because if she doesn’t repent, God might give her a few very grave slaps on her hand (she is baptised, so entitled to judgement).
      God bless you !”!
