It’s beginning to look like my blog is a pro-life blog. Well, it is, but not exclusively so. It’s just that the pro-life movement becomes more and more important to me and more central in my life everyday. True, it’s Christ who is really becoming more and more central to my life, in every way. But this is exactly why I find myself becoming more involved in life issues, issues that cover a broad spectrum of concerns. I was accused of a very dear friend (who should have known better) during the last election of being a one-issue voter. This, while she was voting based on her fears for the economy. This is hypocrisy of the worst kind, the arrogant and ignorant kind that refuses to examine itself and its unspoken assumptions; refusing to remove the beam from one’s own eye before complaining about the speck in another’s.
That said, and before I dash off to my pro-life prayer group in a few minutes, I want to share with you a news story I received a moment ago in my inbox while I sit here at my favorite Wifi hotspot doing my taxes last minute. As usual. This is the news item. I’m only going to post the link now. I’ll comment on it later, probably tomorrow when I get back to the web.

Every time I think things can’t get any more ridiculous than they already are, he goes and does something like this. If it wasn’t so alarming, it might be funny. But it’s really very frightening. He’s going to end up getting people hurt. Why doesn’t he just shut up and listen for a change and learn something? And don’t even get me started about how he went overseas and told people that the U.S. isn’t a Christian country any more. And don’t get me started about how true that may actually be!
Okay, I’m outta here. Off to pray for an end to the absurdity. Oy ve!
